Tracktion2 and Drumkit from Hell

Hello everyone,

Complete beginner here. Not sure if this is the right place to ask this...

I recently purchased Tracktion2 and Drumkit from Hell in order to create drumtracks, though I am finding it very difficult. I have a few questions.

Stepbeater - I can create the drumtracks "per measure" using this utility, correct? When I create a beat, I'm not sure how to "import" that information to the track so it can turn it into midi information.

After that, I load Drumkit from Hell (Superior) - which has problems of it's own. The snare and the kick are the only sounds I can preview and they are only on the left and right channels respectively, no mono sounds, no toms, cymbals, etc.. It took me nearly 9 hours to load the sounds from DVD to my 200gb external HD to store these files. The "corruption" light comes on when I try to preview toms and cymbals and I'm not sure why, all the sounds should be loaded correctly. I followed DFKS' instructions for installing to a "T" so the sounds should be loaded correctly.

Any advice? Just looking for a general direction to head in here...
