Hi. I have a sample library housed in Kompakt. It's called Colossus.

When i load it up in tracktion it's fine, but then I want to go multitimbral (it has 8 channels) so i wrap it as a rack. I put an instance of the rack into 8 empty tracks. I then assign each instance so they mtach up with the outs in tracktion...I use BFDall, kontakt, battery..so I am getting pretty good w/ multitimbrals.

But in this case, the sounds for bank 1 will stay play with bank 2..now this is a cool effect, and works, but you don't always want it...so my question is..can kompakt be run in multiimbral mode? if it is like kontakt, then i guess no..then i will run a bunch of instances instead.

Hey, I have Colossus too. It uses Kontakt, not Kompakt.

It sounds like you have a better handle on it than I do. I'm able to get it to work, but I'm really fumbling in the dark. Can anyone recommend info on learning how to use it in T2?

Any suggestons you have, stash or anybody, would be most helpful.

ok..this is what I do. First off, mine uses Kompakt. I know this because it says it in the upper left.

I put all the samples on my samples drive and the colossus data in my c:.

I then just load it in traction by adding it in a channel. I was going to use it in multitimbral, but I have decided multiinstances is better. Also, there is a very nice thing you can do to effect all the tracks however you want..you can figure that one out ;)

You're right: I just checked and it does say Kompakt. The east-west website says Kontakt, which also exists.

Maybe the tutorials in kompakt will make more sense to me!
