simple question . . recording non mic audio

wow.. downloaded t2 demo 2 days ago, and got so well impressed, and was not expecting to be, i have t1 , got it when they gave it for free, but almost never use it, remember there was many small things that make me always stay away of it,..damn i should have it "explore" it better ..
now, this tracktion, i keep saying in my head " this is good, this is good..good.."

so now my question, ..the faster way to record audio coming not form a external source, but form vsti or rewire aplications is to maybe insert a midi clip on the track we making the noise and select that clip and do render to a new track? ..
