I'd also be interested if there's an answer to this. The workaround for me has been to have an additional measure in the beginning of the loop, and to have the click on. The only time this doesn't work is when you want to loop record starting with the first bar of your edit.
However, this limitation actually taught me that a punch in can sound much more natural if you start the loop a bit before, since the right starting place for that first note just might be a millisecond or two before you think it actually starts...

Whatever it is, it is an annoying limitation. If you set a count in, and record in a loop, there should be a count in, and then the loop should start. What possible reason would there be to not do it this way, or at least have a preference to do it this way?

Loop count-in is essential.

At least in T1 there was a workaround where you could place the "cursor" at the next to last measure in a loop and get your count-in from that point...but that was "fixed" in T2.

Add me to the list: this is one of the biggest handicaps in T2 for me.
You seem to be "out of luck" like Billy Bob was out of luck when Angelina was riding his face. --Pough
