Interface Enhancement: When creating new track

Hi,

This is a very simple one. But whenever I create a new track, I expect the name to be highlighted so that I can just start typing the name (the same way as when creating a new folder in wondows/mac).

I am so used to workgin this way that I keep creating a new track and then start to type only to find that I have executed a few random commands!

Please can we add this to the requested features thread.

I would swear the manuel say that all you have to do is hit tab, and it should be ready to name. That does not work however.

that could be useful.. I tend to name tracks in batches: select the first track and rename, then <ALT>+down-arrow to the next and the mouse cursor will be in the right place to just click & type..

Only if it's optional... basically for two reasons:

1. Tab works fine... Ctrl-T to to create a new track, then Tab to rename it. (so it's only 1 keypress)
2. I'm a lazy whore who adds tracks and doesn't label them at times...

make sure you guys realize when you use ctrl-t to add a new track, it automatically routes it to the last routed routing router.
