Windows app for guaging drive usage?

'Where has all my drive space gone..., lobg time passing?'
Does anyone know of any Windows utilities that can tell you where blocks of drive space has been used for, so you can go and trim stuff out that you don't need? Something to show you 'problem areas' or something? Preferrably free. And obviously something that won't mess with my edits.
Thanks!

I don't know of any utility like this. You could probably script a batchfile or something to show you folder sizes which wouldnt' be too hard. Im not sure why you would really need it? are you constantly cleaning out your drives? I would perhaps insted use some partitioning on your drives to organise your data. The only drive I really need to clean up regularily is my downloads partition. I have my drives set as following.
HDD 1
20gig T2 Projects
60gig T2 Archive (finished or not in use projects)
10gig Halion\Battery Sample files
60gig Audio Drive (masters, samples audio prog files etc.,)
HDD 2
10gig XP Audio OS
10gig XP Web OS
20gig Ghost backup OS
40gig Downloads MP3

Hmm... there's plenty, depends on how you want the app to visualize the space usage.
Quite a few apps fall into similar category as FolderSizes. Some attach themselves to File Explorer, some are standalone. Personally I've never understood nor liked those that provide useless pie charts and such, the ones that show you colored squares which are sized according to how much space the folder takes make a lot more sense visually...
I use a small extension to File Explorer and compatible filemanagers that gives me a (working!) folder size column in my filemanager. The app I use has a builtin function for this but it's really unreliable and slow and far from realtime. This little addon works like a charm and despite it being of the indexing kind (it goes through your drives every once in a while) I've experienced no slowdowns or other issues due to the indexing kicking in.

Our fellow KVRian Kingston introduced me to this one:

Just one of the many free ones using this sort of visualization.

Treesize, TreesizePro and SpaceObserver are the best for this I've come across:
