I RECENTLY SENT SOME AIFF FILES GENERATED ON TRACKTION TO A FRIEND AND HE COULD NOT GET LOGIC TO RECOGNISE THEM. ANYBODY COME ACROSS THIS PROBLEM? I READ SOMEWHERE RECENTLY THAT AIFF FILES GENERATED IN TRACTION ARE NOT STANDARD AIFF FILES. SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE ONES AND ZEROES BEING PLACED AT THE EXTREME ENDS OF THE FILE. DOES THIS MAKE SENSE TO ANY OF YOU COMPUTER WIZARDS OUT THERE. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE A REPLY AS I NEED TO SEND FILES ON A REGULAR BASIS TO OTHER PEOPLE MANY OF WHOM USE LOGIC.

Seems strange I haven't heard that before. What version of Tracktion? What version of logic. What settings for the AIFF files? Were these recorded or rendered? Mac or PC?

even though its a proven fact that peapole that have problems reading & writing find it much easyer to use CAPS

it's a proven fact that people find it easier to read when there is a greater proportion of whitespace to text, and since CAPS letters are naturally leave a lower proportion of whitespace...
Whilst I personally wont get on someones case for using all-caps, I tend to ignore their posts 'cos in some fonts it is just too much effort to read.

well, there was one long thread about exactly this, but I'm not going to post the link 'cos it was half a page of bug report and over four pages of invective, mostly between rooser and myself.Beno wrote:Seems strange I haven't heard that before. I'll PM it if you want. The upshot though was that Tracktion's AIFF files tended not to work in most Mac apps other than iTunes. I can;t recall if this was supposed to have been fixed or what though...

They seem to be saying the proper usage of capitalisation is important, and that whitespace improves readablity.
Which bit did I miss?

Thanks valley. I'll dig around a bit. Honestly I don't remember that. If you have a link handy PM it to me.

subject, the very first link on the Google search says to use lowercase whenever possible.
Also, just think about it logically, even without referencing a resource: the majority of words we read are in lowercase. In a sentence, only the first letter of the first word and the first letter of proper nouns have capitals. Our brains are unaccustomed to reading entire phrases in all-caps. I can easily read paragraphs by people who pretentiously choose to NEVER captitalize, but I have a very difficult time reading all-caps.
