howdy...

1. is there a linux version of the remote control software or can the mac version be run under linux using some additional libraries?

2. i've got a multi set up with two instances of m-tron and when i load it it doesn't seem to load the correct sounds and tone settings. is this a known issue and if so is there a workaround? maybe all i'll have to do is recreate the multi from scratch.

3. i've noticed that when you assign parameters to the front panel for a particular plugin, those assignments are the same for every instance of that plugin. are there any plans to be able to save those assignments with a single/multi?

thanks! i'll be doing my first gig with receptor in my guitar rig this weekend, opening (sort of) for the steve miller band... a receptor into a pair of vintage fender amps sounds amazing!

One way around no 2, is to do a preset with the plugin, and save it in your own custom bank, so it calles up the correct preset when you bring up the Multi. Some plugins like WusikStation required me to do this, so I have a bank I created of my Fav WS patches. For some reason, saving it in Multi did not save the patch. So I created a patch, saved it in a custom bank ( created a bank for it) and now it calls up the sounds just fine. Hope this makes sense. :-)

hmm, i did try creating a single for each track with an m-tron instance, but not creating patches within m-tron...i'll try that, thanks!

The Mac version will not run in Linux. But, you can use any VNC client like RealVNC (http://www.realvnc.com).

You have to specify Display=1. You may be able to specify the IP address followed by ":1" eg 192.168.1.102:1

The password is "Receptor" (case sensitive).

in case anyone else tries this, kde comes with a program, krdc, that allows you to connect to vnc or rdp client and it works fine with the receptor.
