Big Man Labs Releases Big Pump - One Knob Loudness Shaper Plugin (VST3, AU, AAX, CLAP)
Big Man Labs has released Big Pump, a loudness shaper built around a single knob and a real time modulation engine that "reads the music as it plays".
Rather than compressing, Big Pump lifts low level detail up and gently shaves peaks to get loudness, so material sits denser and more forward without the pumping or dulled transients that come with compression. The 4D Modulation engine analyses the incoming signal continuously, so the effect tracks the performance: kicks land harder, vocals push forward, and mixes glue together. Four modes (Fat, Smooth, Tight, Open) tune the engine to different material, and Modern and Vintage character add clean or tube style harmonic color on top.
Big Pump also includes a Width control for glued stereo, Delta monitoring to solo exactly what is being added, oversampling up to 16x, Auto Gain for honest A/B comparisons, and a resizable interface.
