Audiffex has announced the release of ampLion, which is described as an ultra-precise simulation of guitar amps, speakers, microphones and effects.
An all-in-one solution for every guitar player, all of the gear is just a click away. And thanks to the Live mode and the implemented MIDI control, you can boldly enter the stage with nothing more than your computer, audio interface and MIDI foot controller.

ampLion costs $149 and is available for Windows and Mac OS X in VST and RTAS effect plug-in formats. An AU version will come with version 2.
A free version, ampLion Free, is also available. ampLion Free gives you a chance to try the quality of ampLion's simulation. For free, you get a model of one of the most famous and guitar amps ever made. Furthermore, ampLion Free also includes an exact model of a guitar speaker and a pickup microphone with fully customizable position - just like in ampLion Pro.
