Blue Cat Audio has released Re-Head 1.3, a free update with key new features for the plug-in designed to make using headphones easier for musicians and audio professionals.
Re-Head is a plug-in which aims at re-creating a room experience when using headphones. While it cannot replace studio monitors or a guitar cabinet in a room, it makes the listening experience with headphones more comfortable and realistic, and also provides a simple way to apply headphones response compensation curves.
This new version of Re-Head brings a new built-in stereo field visualizer, total control over the amount of head correction (that can now be fully disabled to use plug-in also with speakers), as well as a new inter-aural time delay feature to enhance the stereo cross-feed effect, and other enhancements and fixes.
New In Re-Head 1.3:
- New built-in stereo field visualizer.
- Adjust the amount of head response correction with a single knob.
- Disable the head response to use the other features of the plug-in independently, even on speakers.
- Adjustable Haas effect for stereo width control, enhancing stereo spread reduction with inter-aural time delay (ITD).
- Misc presets management and MIDI control improvements.
- Head response is now fully phase-aligned with dry signal, and the plug-in reports the associated latency to host.
- Fixed head response gain increasing with sample rate.
Price: The update is free for existing Re-Head customers while an end-of-year offer (20% off) is available to others. Demo versions are available for download freely in most common plug-in formats (Mac and Windows) on www.bluecataudio.com.
At the same time, Blue Cat Audio has launched end-of-year promotions, with up to 50% off audio plug-ins and applications until December 31st. Existing customers are granted even better deals during the year-end promotions period (received by email).
