Cactuzz Sound has released version 1.1.0 of LostComzz, a lo-fi signal degradation plugin for macOS and Windows.
The update addresses several issues reported after the initial release. Beyond the standard tape-style processing — noise, wow & flutter, harmonic drive, HP/LP filtering, and tone tilt — the plugin lets users load their own audio files as noise loops and drop sound effects. Noise loops and SFX libraries are stored per mode, so Vintage, Modern, and Futuristic characters can each carry a different set of samples. Multiple SFX files can be loaded simultaneously with individual enable/disable toggles, and the plugin picks from the active set randomly on each dropout event.
The dropout engine accepts manual interval and length ranges or a fully randomised mode that ignores the sliders. A noise compression knob raises the noise floor during dropouts to reinforce the effect. An oscilloscope and stereo level meter are included in the interface.
Factory presets are included, with user preset saving and deletion. A demo mode is available without registration; a 1 kHz tone is applied periodically as a watermark.
Pricing & Availability
LostComzz is available for macOS and Windows in VST3 and AU plugin formats for $15.
