CARP Audio has announced a new update to APM Live, their real-time automatic pitch mod-wheel plugin.
The version 1.5.0 release brings a set of crucial algorithm improvements that sharpen the precision and sound quality of the plugin, especially under heavy modulation.
Here's what's new:
- Pitch Modulation Artifacts – Gone: CARP Audio addressed and eliminated AM (Amplitude Modulation) artifacts that were previously revealed when modulating pitch. This fix ensures a cleaner, more stable sound, especially in moments of aggressive pitch movement or automation.
- Improved Phase Accuracy for Complex Audio: Phasing issues caused by overlapping time blocks have been resolved. This leads to more accurate handling of inharmonic content, making APM Live more transparent and musical when processing unpredictable or noise-rich sounds.
- Stereo Field Stability: CARP Audio also fixed a bug that affected the stereo image when pitch was modulated in real time. Your stereo field now remains intact and balanced, even during wild, expressive modulations.
