Crocus Soundware has released Liminal: Spirited Flutes for Kontakt, a sample library of closely recorded concert, alto and bass flutes. They Say:
The library's articulations are expressive and evolving, with the performer imparting character and movement into each sample. The instruments were mic'd in in novel ways to capture the breath and characteristic intimacy into each sample.
The user-interface allows articulations to be layered, mixed and reversed. A crossfade control allows blending of color-coded sound layers. LFO controls can also be enabled, allowing your DAW's tempo to dictate the modulation of an individual layer's volume. This opens the door for tempo-synced swells and provides more possibilities for evolving texture.
