FRCTL has released DLAY Lite, a free delay plugin for Windows, macOS and Linux. It's the small version of the company's DLAY: same engine, fewer controls, no cost.
There are 12 presets and not much to fiddle with. The canvas holds up to 12 echoes as draggable points, one per tap, and you set each one's level by hand. Two knobs do the rest. Mix is dry against wet. Wash smears the echoes into a longer tail, closer to reverb the further you push it.
DLAY itself goes much further, with per-echo pan, pitch, formant, tone, saturation and reverse, plus seven character types, modulation, rhythm patterns, 64 echoes, 168 presets and DAW automation:
