Christian Alexander (LuvNote) has released SingleGrain, a granular synthesizer VST3 and AU plugin for Windows and macOS designed for producers and sound designers who want precise control over their audio.
SingleGrain allows you to sculpt audio grain by grain. You can control playback position, grain length, attack and decay shapes, and playback speed independently. Grains can run forward or in reverse and the read head can be locked while grains cycle, producing textures that are difficult or impossible to achieve in traditional granular tools. The modulation system includes three LFOs and a 32-slot matrix, with eight macros for sweeping entire performances and fine controls down to microscopic detail. The plugin also features a built-in frequency shifter, a sample recorder, and a library of factory presets and samples across ambient, bass, percussive, and experimental contexts.
Pricing & Availability
SingleGrain is available for purchase on KVR for the introductory price of $20 (Reg. $29).
