ModeAudio has released Density - Ambient Samples & Drones, a collection of 150 detailed, layered WAV synth texture and drone samples. Ranging in length from 5 to 50 seconds, the sounds have been created using a range of analog and digital sources, as well cutting-edge processing techniques from granulation and FM synthesis to spectral filtering, filter banking and beyond.
Grouped into 5 categories, Tonal Textures, Granular Textures, FM Drones, Sub Basses and Ambient Textures, the samples have been designed with layering in mind. Rich, evolving sonic atmospheres can be built up with ease using the included sounds, which also incorporate 50 SFX synth stab samples to add a more percussive dimension to the release:
