Native Instruments recently updated Kontakt 7 to v7.10.7 which now loads up to 600% faster, optimizing system resources for peak efficiency, and features macOS 15 compatibility for smooth project workflows on the latest Apple OS. Version 7.10.7 also simplifies navigation by hiding Kontakt 8 presets and instruments—if it's visible in Kontakt 7, it works in Kontakt 7.
Changes:
- Added: Support for macOS 15 Sequoia.
- Improved: Now loads as much as 6x faster than prior - better instantiation times with a lot of content products and 3rd party plugins installed.
- Improved: Tool-specific presets or multis that require Kontakt 8 are now hidden in Kontakt 7 to avoid confusion.
- Fixed Kontakt not properly updating the Kontrol S MK3 Lightguide in certain scenarios.
- Fixed When hosting Kontakt in Komplete Kontrol, the Instrument interface could get stuck on the prior instrument despite loading a new instrument.
- Fixed Using Spacebar to start/stop DAW playback on macOS could be inadvertently blocked when using Kontakt Tools.
- Fixed Missing PV button in instrument header for instruments with performance views.
- Fixed KSP Setting $ZONE_PAR_VOLUME was incorrectly clamped to 31.02 semitones.
- Fixed KSP Regression in load_array() behavior when loading string arrays (since Kontakt 6.7).
- Fixed KSP Regression where $ENGINE_PAR_LR_SWAP and $ENGINE_PAR_PHASE_INVERT did not point to Inverter effect in instrument busses (since Kontakt 7.2).
- Improved: Warnings are not shown as errors anymore in Creator Tools Debugger and Kontakt Lua API terminal.
- Added: API factory_snapshot_path and user_snapshot_path entries in the Instrument Options table.
- Fixed API set_group_start_options() now properly obeys the given group index.
Known Issues:
- In Pro Tools, Kontakt window is cropped when zooming larger than available display size.
- Please note that if you have updated to Kontakt 7.10. from a version before 7.9, you may need to reselect your audio device on first launch (macOS only).
