Ravine DSP has announced the release of version 1.2 of Inter::State, a new multi-rack audio effect host for macOS and Windows, designed to consolidate complex plugin chains into a single, playable environment.
Built for engineers and sound designers, Inter::State provides a unified, fixed-window space to build serial, parallel, and multiband structures using existing third-party VST3 and AU plugins. It aims to eliminate the friction of managing fragmented MIDI mappings and floating, overlapping plugin windows.
Key Features:
- Three-Rack Architecture: Build chains across 3 independent processing lanes (Rack A, B, C) with 8 serial slots per rack.
- Central Patch Bay: Route audio in Parallel, Serial, Multiband, or custom hybrid configurations with a single click.
- Native DSP Utilities: Includes built-in Auto-Gain and Auto-Match for delay-compensated, loudness-matched A/B testing (Fast, RMS, or LUFS), plus per-slot oversampling up to 16x.
- Hierarchical Macros & Modulation: 8 macros per context (Main, Rack, or Slot) that can be modulated via smooth LFO curves, stepped sequencers, or triggered by audio inputs and sidechains.
- Intelligent AutoMap: Automatically assigns third-party plugin parameters to slot macros based on heuristics and usage.
- Context-Aware Visualisers: Features a beat-synced oscilloscope, high-resolution frequency analyser, and multiband crossover display.
- Inter::State[Bridge]: A companion instrument plugin that solves DAW automation limits, allowing users to orchestrate macros across multiple Inter::State instances from a single automation lane.
Pricing & Availability:
Inter::State is available now in VST3 and AU formats. It is currently being offered at a discounted "Founders Edition" introductory price of $69 (regular price $99). A fully functional 7-day trial is available to download.
