RV Audio Design has released Disseptor, a multiband distortion plugin with integrated pre-distortion EQ and phase control. The plugin offers five EQ points that introduce phase shifts or delays to specific frequencies before the distortion stage. These phase alterations, while sometimes subtle on their own, interact with the distortion to offer detailed sonic shaping possibilities. Longer delay settings can also be used to create audible smearing and rhythmic effects.
