SampleScience has released the VR-55 DrumComputer, a free virtual instrument plugin that emulates the classic Boss DR-55 drum machine, renowned for its use by Depeche Mode in the early 1980s.
This plugin reproduces the original four drum voices—kick, snare, rim, and hi-hat—and introduces an exclusive cymbal sound derived from a modified DR-55 unit. Users can layer sounds by utilizing three replicated drum kits, allowing for customized and punchy drum mixes.
