Toy Keyboard v3
Reviewed By elviecho
June 7th, 2023

Despite each preset is based on a single sample, Toy Keyboard sounds unexpected nice.
Over 70 presets, a bunch of effects (envelope, distortion, delay, chorus, reverb, LFO, HP, LP) and all that in exchange for 40 MB disk space. I think it is a serious substitute for the original hardware and really usable.

Thank you, SampleScience!

The Bells

Great range of different, well sampled, good sounding bells, shipped with a nice GUI and a bunch of effects like reverb, distorsion, delay, chorus, amp, LFO and filter. Highly usable, a keeper!
Many thanks to the team of Samplescience, not only for this one.

1940s Swing Jazz Drums
Reviewed By aetmont
January 6th, 2023

The sound of the 1940's is accurate enough, I guess, but the playing itself is genuinely bad, with all due respect to the musician. I don't understand how this made it beyond quality control. Sounds like home video of Dad ironically messing around on Sonny's drums. Encroaching on the simply bizarre.

Taiko Drums

Could have become a good plugin, if the sounds, even the Dry version were not as much reverb overloaded. You get more of a room sound and some other modulations, than of a natural drum sound.

If you look for a drum sound with a lot of reverb, distortion and modulations added, this plugin might be the right one for you. If you look for an authentic, pure, organic and not "digitally optimized /made worse" Taiko Drum sound, you hardly will get the desired results.

I like real Taikos or similar drums, but these tones have not been, what I expected.

In other words, real, recorded or sampled Taiko Drums sound different, at least for me. Their natural harmonics, which are capable of filling a whole room or hall, do not even need any additional digital reverb, distortion or modulations, to sound great.

Nice GUI, nevertheless, unfortunately not equally nice tones.

I've tested this plugin and compared to my old real taiko drum library for kontakt, I have to say it sounds poor. For me it is useless.

Muy buena librería, la recomiendo, sobre todo las vocales me han sacado de apuros a la hora de hacer Lo-Fi, los sonidos también dan esa sensación vintage, así que no hay que estarlos procesando.

Clean Electric Guitar

Useful Clean Guitar (as Lead) with a beautiful GUI and pretty precise and clean sound. Well, not perfect, but since decent free Guitar plugins are rare, it's absolutely worth the download! p.s: the lower notes sit surprisingly well in the mix which is often not the case for other guitar vst's. Great work by samplescience, the developer who just came up with a magnificent French violin lately (same gui like this1) which totally impressed me.
