Sonarworks has released Systemwide, which makes critical listening possible on any audio playback software.
Running at system audio level, Sonarworks Reference Systemwide is capable of calibrating audio from any source. Now it's possible to do proper comparisons between DAW projects and audio sources from external files or streaming services. Before Systemwide the user had to either drag an external audio file into a DAW project or resort to uncalibrated audio for streaming services.
By employing a patent-pending measurement method, Sonarworks identifies sonic flaws in headphones and speakers, then corrects them using advanced DSP. With Sonarworks Reference sound standard, engineers are able to work with confidence, knowing that their labour will translate to other playback systems.
Over the last 2 years Sonarworks have released the Reference 3 family of calibration products, providing a harmonised reference sound standard for both headphones and speakers. Systemwide naturally integrates into any workflow and detects the presence of other Reference software, avoiding any conflicts.
Systemwide app is currently available for macOS as an upgrade to existing Sonarworks Reference 3 software for 99€/$99. Windows version to be released in April 2017.
