Todd-AO has announced the latest update to Absentia DX, its audio noise reduction software.
Version 2 introduces a bundled AudioSuite AAX plug-in along with its original standalone desktop app. Together with the standalone app, the new plug-in allows hum, buzz, tick, and other audio cleaning improvements directly from within the Pro Tools editing software.
Created for both Mac OS X and Windows, the standalone application and plug-in bundle allow sound editors workflow flexibility of both batch processing as well region-by-region timeline de-noising while dialogue editing.
Version 2 also comes with the Annual Upgrade Policy informally introduced in 2017:
- For $20, users gain access to software updates and introduction of new and improved processing algorithms.
- Designed to ensure frequent updates throughout each license year, the annual licensing plan guarantees a year's worth of updates to subscribers.
- Those who choose not to upgrade retain a perpetual license to the most current version released one year from their date of purchase.
