UVI has released the IRCAM Prepared Piano.
Recorded at the IRCAM labs in Paris on a Yamaha C7 Grand Piano, IRCAM Prepared Piano boasts 45 contemporary preparation techniques multi-sampled with some of the the finest equipment available by some of the world's leading acoustic technicians.
The UVI technology allows up to two simultaneous preparations per note and advanced parameter editing, providing nearly endless configuration possibilities. The user can utilize screws, erasers, coins, clothes-pins, sticks and more, and excite the strings with a mallet, plectrum, bow or even an eBow. Also included is the latest UVI technology, SparkVerb, an advanced synthetic reverb that is designed to focus on sound quality and musicality.
IRCAM Prepared Piano is compatible with all Windows and Mac OS X DAWs via the free UVI Workstation (2.0.6+). It also loads in the full-featured MachFive 3 sampler.
