The Vienna Symphonic Library has announced the release of Fazioli F308 Essentials, the virtual representation of the world's largest concert grand, recorded on Stage A of Vienna Synchron Stage.
The new library is the entry-level version of the previously released Synchron Fazioli F308, offering the full majesty of the Italian piano maker's flagship model in a streamlined, accessible virtual instrument.

Expertly recorded on the expansive, Hollywood-proven Stage A of Vienna Synchron Stage, the Essentials version distills the full majesty of the premium collection Synchron Fazioli F308 into a focused instrument that's ready to inspire right out of the box.
The Fazioli F308 is renowned for its powerful sound, thanks to its extended string length, and this version truly preserves the soul of the instrument. It also features the unique fourth pedal – a Fazioli innovation that lowers the keyboard and brings the hammers closer to the strings, reducing the volume without altering the timbre. This allows the same overtones and resonances to shine through with a soft, yet clear and transparent character.
While offering fewer velocity layers than the premium Synchron Fazioli F308 library, VSL says this Essentials version maintains the clarity, depth, and color that make the instrument so remarkable. The warm, immersive acoustics of Stage A provide the ideal sonic space, offering a rich and versatile sound that adapts across genres.
The Synchron Piano Player lets users shape their personal Fazioli tone with ease. They can choose from mixer presets – from intimate close settings to grand, ambient textures – or fine-tune the sound using built-in tools like EQ per key, resonance control, algorithmic reverb, velocity response, and many more.

Fazioli F308 Essentials is currently available at an introductory price of $104 (reg. $156). An upgrade path from the Essentials edition to the premium collection is available.
At the same time, the Austrian company is offering Concert D-274 Essentials, the other available Essentials piano featuring a Steinway & Sons Concert D-274, at its original introductory price of $93.
