420 Noise Gate

420 Noise Gate is a fast, musical gate for cleaning up dialogue, guitars, and drums while keeping the performance intact. It tightens noise and spill without flattening the attack or stripping the intent out of the source.

A dedicated Look Ahead control helps it catch transients early, so consonants, pick hits, and drum strikes do not get clipped at the front edge. From there, Attack, Hold, and Release give you precise control over how the gate opens and closes, letting you keep room tone and tails sounding natural instead of chattery.

Dial in Threshold to set what gets through, then use Reduction to choose how hard it clamps down. There is also a Tolerance control for extra fine-tuning when you want the gate to behave a little more forgiving or a little more strict, depending on the material.
