With this software bundle you get two world-class handcrafted bass guitars, "virtualized" as MIDI instrument in one plug-in. The first instrument is a modern 4-string bass and the second instrument is a very unique-looking and unique-sounding 8-string bass (just like the 12-string guitars with string pairs).

Description

Handcrafted custom instruments – that's what you can expect from BassLine, Germany. The company from Krefeld builds nothing but world-class bass guitars from finest woods and premium components. We "virtualized" two of their instruments and turned it into a VST3/AU plug-in, so you can use it in your production.

BassLine Buster CW 4:

This 4-String bass features a beautiful black limba top wood and a swamp ash body. The neck and fretboard is actually made of maple, turned into black stain. And he sounds just as good as it looks.

BassLine Buster Std 8:

You maybe know 12-String guitars and the special sound of it. But how about an octaved bass? Well, here you have it.

Instead of using the same virtual bass over and over again, why not try out something new?

Hint: This sound is perfect for epic productions that require just some uniqueness. If you find the original bass interesting and what to know more, check out this article, released by the manufacturer itself.

Plug-in feature overview:

  • Regular 4-String bass (BassLine Buster CW 4).
  • Unique 8-String bass with octave strings (BassLine Buster Std 8).
  • Perfect fit for melodic rock/metal and epic tracks.
  • Great for other genres, too.
  • Lowest tone: C1 (drop C tuning).
  • Highest tone: G4 (24th fret, regular tuning).
  • Humanize function for realistic sounding playing.
  • Easy to use for beginners.
  • Key switches for power-users.
  • Finger style.
  • Pick style.
  • Automatic alternate picking.
  • Slapping.
  • Tapping.
  • Palm mute.
  • Slides and bending.
  • Hammer-on.
  • Pull-off.
  • High-resolution samples with lossless compression.
  • Unprocessed clean DI to use you own amp/fx plugin.
  • Three pre-amped sounds on board.

The usage of the plug-in is simple, the basics are just like you know it from other MIDI instruments.

These two basses do a really good job of covering a lot of the heavier funk and rock styles (although I have used them for Acoustic tunes and Jazz too!) Both have a bright crisp sound, and enough variety of tones to avoid obvious repetition from note to note. They both seem to respond well to good playing technique by a skilled keyboardist. Add a good clean or semi-clean amp sim for bass, and they really sound natural and full in a mix. Excellent plugins.

No issues with version 1.1.8 and Windows 10 using latest Cubase. Simple but good sounding and the 8-String is fantastic but it depends on the production or style of music.

Update from my previous here below comment:

Now with V 1.2.2 it looks better. the up/down strike is fine. Finger's playing feel does not really match with real play or other plugins makers. it is too closed than plektrum sound and the attack button behaves like a synth not a bass.

Suggested improvement:

add a tone and volume button.

Position playing ie from bridge to neck.

insert hammer pop slap fretless.

there could also be other pickups tone sounds ie Kent Armstrong, Bartolini, Seymour Duncan, Alembic, MEC and EMG and many others ones with active and passive options and pu mix option.

Sound block reduction while changing the current sound options.

I am using currently only the DI selection.

Thanks again for your work.

I could not have the chance to make a full test. It bugs as soon I try to modify the basic sound. I am using it with FL Studio latest version under W8.1 64-bit.
