As with our other Performers, we have done more than just record a Double Bass, we have captured the way the Double Bassist approaches the instrument and makes it Rumble the Room.

We have captured melodic on-bow and bow-change legato to work seamlessly in musical context of the other Bohemians as well as capturing contextual re-bows that are commonly used in Double Bass performances, the re-bow timing is decided by the composer.

WHY BOHEMIAN "CORE" ?

As there are no extended articulations in the Double Bass this makes it slightly different compared to its Bohemian siblings, so we decided to highlight this with the addition of the name "Core" as it contains the main core foundations of the Bohemian Series, this is also reflected in its lower price.

Part of an expanding series of performers, the Bohemian Bass Core was created to free you to perform real Double Bass Performances fast, without the need to be a Double Bass player yourself.

To achieve realism, we recorded a large amount of samples for a solo instrument, but managing all this by loading individual patches would be slow and cumbersome and stifle inspiration. This is where the virtual performer comes in, controlling all the varied legatos, bow types and emotive expressions as you play, all from one patch and all in real time.

PERFORMANCES WITH ROOM RUMBLING BASS

Anticipating how to perform based on your playing input is only part of the magic, the virtual performer can also be directed to alter its emotion during performing by switching through alternative play styles called moods. Play harsh with assertive, through to emotional and gentle with emotive or play a varied off the cuff mockup with improv all with the tap of a key.

Switch into Maestro our poly performer legato, play as many notes together as you wish and let our poly performer choose the appropriate legatos and bow types for you.

CAPTURED IN MOMENTUM

Every note is sampled with hundreds of intervals, multiple dynamics and varied speeds, packing depth into every performance while remaining in true musical phrase from first note to the last. Our legato is always captured in phrase and in a musical context, resulting in each legato played being a true sample of a real performance.

Each articulation and mood can be forced upon the performer using an assignable key, granting you the ability to adjust the performers behaviour.

Includes

longs: arc, mid arc, sustain, marcato, diminuendo and non-vibrato.

shorts: staccato, spiccato, pizzicato.

legatos: two variations of in phrase on-bow legatos and two variations of in phrase bow-change legatos.

bowing: lasting bow, down bow, up bow, auto re-bow.

Moods: Improv, Emotive and Assertive.

All with round robins, real up bow down bow recordings, multiple dynamics, all captured chromatically and includes all the standard functions that come with the Bohemian Series.
