Indie audio plugin studio. The brief is narrow on purpose: small, specific tools for kick synthesis, acid bass, and drum sampling, built to do one thing convincingly rather than do everything passably.
Free plugins are written in Rust (nih-plug); the paid line uses JUCE. Linux is a first-class target, not an afterthought — macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows are tested on real hardware. The free line ships VST3 and CLAP; AU is a known gap.
Shipping: Niner — kick synth, free. In development: SquelchBox, Autokit, SquelchPro. Devlog and downloads at hyperfocusdsp.com.
Great kick synth! It comes with plenty of features to design a pretty wide range of kick sounds as well as other things, all packed within a great interface. My only issue is that for whatever reason, the knobs are really jittery when I attempt to change them, making it feel weird to use this plugin.
Overall a fun, inspiring drum synth with plenty of options. It can even be set to key track which makes it useful for pitched drums as well as more synth-like sounds. I do think that the interface has a lot of empty space, which I believe could be populated by bigger knobs to make the interface a bit easier to read. Otherwise, I think it is good and worth a try.
oh, love this easy kick designer (i do not design kicks but sometimes you need it) on linux as alternative to d16 PunchBox, yes! Well its not the Design but sounds very good.
Sub-Top-Mid can be edited, EQ, Saturation, very simple Compressor, Limiter, Random Function, 909 noises, 3x saturation types, and you can bounce the kick you created. it sound really good, full, strong, nice subs...very good.
It is a No Brainer.
thank you very much.
issues?
minor: scaling, keyboard/midi triggering, but this can be fixed.
Was sent this on by a mate of mine, always looking for new ways to explore kicks! Love this!! Nice Easter egg as well.

Just downloaded and love it already, you can randomize the entire plugin for a new sound and it generates more than just kicks! And probably the best feature is the ability to QUICKLY export the one-shot you generate.
My only 2 feature requests are 1) Infinitely resizable UI real-time. 2) Ability to set default bounce export location within plugin UI, maybe a super brief settings window.
Absolute W plugin, we love open-source! Simple, Light, Purposeful.
I never rate on KVR but i'm glazing this one lol.

Thanks, glad it clicked. Both feature requests are noted and on the list. Appreciate you breaking your no-KVR-rating rule for this one.
