The dotsixnine limiter is designed to use next to no cpu. It's not the best sounding, and is really just a very simple limiter. But, it's not your average brickwall limiter in that it does not use an attack or release envelope. This means that it can not overload, making it good for live application.
This is a Christmas / Holidays gift from DSPplug and the source will be made available via the MIT license soon. There's no GUI to speak of, because there's no settings and that would waste CPU given that.
In the included video I explain why and how you would use this limiter.

In this video, I use it live. I sing a track in a Depeche Mode / The Smiths style (poorly).
This is an alternative / pop style track made using the dot69. Insterestingly, after the denoising; I used it to cut out distortion. There was a significant amount and it didn't do too badly. I'm sure maybe there are better tools for the same thing; but it had the right effect.
Here is a good example of using a brickwall limiter on the vocal and the dot69 for every other track, with the dot69 on every other track.
