DWP-16

This is a great one. At this price, you would expect some scaled-down plug-in that is limited and of low sound quality....NOT TRUE for this one! This is one of the most powerful sound making instrument plug-ins I have ever used and I have MOST of them. The workflow is simple and intuitive. Drop any sample in and try turning a couple of knobs and all of a sudden you have created something unique and musical. It allows you to quickly make something new and special out of practically nothing at all and it is truly unlimited. Great FX and amazing modulation capabilities. Glitch, too.

And that is using just one of the 16 channels!!! Haha Quite a lot of fun making new sounds with this. Of course, it can be used as a normal sampler and a sample player. Very simple to set up as a drum sampler or a stacked sampler that can play up to 16 layers. The user interface is really awesome and simple to understand. It really just makes sampling simple and allows you to innovate with the highest sound quality. Use it to create new sounds that are completely yours and no one else has. Can you imagine that in this day of music making plug-ins?

The DWP-16 is very new and yet it is a completely finished and polished product. The developer is a very cool guy and has made a fantastic sound making playground with this. Check out the free demo to see what I am talking about.

Extremely low CPU usage and I have an old Mac Pro that seems to struggle with most plug-ins.

This is not like Kontakt in that you will have libraries of instruments that you can buy. This is made just for you to CREATE with...sounds that will be unique to you! Isn't that very cool? I have enough plug-ins that can make any and every sound, but this one actually has allowed me to do things I was not even able to imagine. Not just freaky sounds, but beautiful ones, too.

Even the most simple sample can become something amazing with the MANY built-in features.

I've been using DWP-16 for a while now, and I have to say it's one of the most powerful samplers I've tried. The 16-channel setup with deep sample manipulation options like pitch shifting, reverse, and FM synthesis makes it incredibly versatile. The built-in sequencer is super intuitive, allowing for quick pattern creation, and the effects per channel (delay, filter, reverb, etc.) add so much depth to the sound.

One of the standout features for me is the modular options—LFO, curve sequencer, and random note functions really take sound shaping to another level. The glitch effect is also a great addition for adding creative unpredictability. Overall, this plugin has become a go-to in my workflow. Highly recommended.
