FK4

The Forgotten Keys FK4 is a fully-sampled Elka Rhapsody 490 string machine from the 1970s. Every note of both sounds plus the combined sound has been sampled and carefully looped to re-create one complete modulation cycle, no more, no less. In this way, every part of the original sound has been captured without over-long samples that just waste space and increase loading time.

The pseudo reverb effect of the sustain slider has been carefully recreated using the custom envelope ability of Kontakt, and a selection of pre-sets has been added that show how you can use the raw waveforms to create other sounds.
