Focus03 for Kilohearts Phase Plant

Continuing the "Focus" series of smaller, concentrated packs, this time 32 presets for the excellent and very flexible Kilohearts Phase Plant.
Utilising a pool of original sample content both in the sample playback module and to create a set of new wavetables, Focus03 explores some of the scope for evolving, complex pads, keys and FX within Phase Plant. Warm, expansive and noisy to cold, digital and glitchy. The pack consists mainly of pad sounds with a few keys, one fx/drone and a couple of bass sounds.

All patches have the modwheel and a set of macro controls assigned to useful/fun/noisy/glitch parameters to give a good level of flexibility and tweakability without digging into the main patch.
The demo above shows simple improvisation with single patches with no processing or other fx. All sounds straight from Phase Plant.

For those new to Empty Vessel, my fascination is with imperfection, the dust, ghosts and personality that sometimes lacks in digital composition. I spend hours every day creating samples with a range of hardware and software, field recordings with a digital recorder and Sony cassette dictaphone. These are then processed with various devious software chains, tape machines and vintage hardware samplers until just the right amount of imperfection, life and organic movement is present.
