Grey Pro

Grey Pro is the latest Acqua plugin suite available in various formats (VST/VST3/AAX/AU). It faithfully emulates 3 of the best American VCA-based compressors from the same renown brand, well known for its ability to enhance low-end cohesion and deliver a classic, vintage character with minimal distortion.

Grey Pro is available as a suite that includes two different plugins: Grey Pro (standard version) and Grey Pro Ultra (full version, with Metering System with Real-Time Waveform display and Knee display).

What you get

The Grey Pro suite accurately replicates 3 different vibrant VCA modules with different sound characteristics although related to the same type of compression, while also introducing new features designed for modern flexibility, catering to the needs of today's studios. With this plugin, you can effortlessly capture the iconic compressor sound that has graced numerous hit tracks.

Choose from the following equalization models (for Grey Pro / Grey Pro Ultra):

• V65: A Vintage VCA hard-knee device for an authentic 70s sound with an Over Easy compression curve.
• 566: A Class A valve amplification stage combined with the 'V1' VCA module with classic 'Over Easy' soft-knee compression and all the sonic qualities of a typical 12AU7 double-triode valve stage, adding warmth and body to the "tubey" sound.
• 160SL: state-of-the-art VCA compressor with ultra-low distortion, impressively specified high-performance V8 VCA module with Jensen output transformers and that Classic 'Over Easy' mode.

For each of these modes, there is the relative Auto / Over Easy version that modifies the compressor's behavior to provide program-dependent operation.

Additionally, Grey Pro boasts an enhanced graphical interface that adheres to Acustica's latest quality and performance standards. It utilizes the cutting-edge 'Aria' engine, which supports dynamic and real-time metering displays, and our advanced Anti-Aliasing algorithm.
