hi, tried itd panner. i have kinda mixed feelings due to the fact, that it strongly messes with the phase - it is in no way mono compatible - and it creates a ver unnatural stereo picture, similar to when you push a side signal to hard.
i might do something wrong, but as far as i can see i can't really find a use/task, where it does something good. please enlighten me, if you have an idea.

Hi, I'm a developer of ITDPanner. Thank you for trying our plugins and sorry for late. I thought some hypothesizes. It looks strange that it creates unnatural stereo picture because ITDPanner was designed to prevent it.

Hypothesis 1

It is caused by the anti-cracking system.

We have put the anti-cracking system to ITDPanner that does not raise any obvious errors and crashes but makes the output signal wrong to prevent crackers from detecting the anti-cracking logic. But, this extremely degrades the UX when the false positive occurs.

We recently switched to a policy not to conduct anti-cracking based on the idea that human nature is fundamentally good but haven't applied the policy to all products yet. We made the new version (1.0.6) of ITDPanner from which the anti-cracking system is removed.

Please tell us if this version fixes the problem.

Hypothesis 2

It is caused by other bugs depending on the environment.

Please tell us your DAW and OS?

Hypothesis 3

It is caused by the algorithm itself.

ITDPanner is designed to prevent the unnatural stereo picture, but it cannot prevent it in some cases.

For example, to be accurate, it is not mono-compatible because it delays only the one side channel when you change the ITD parameter. If the left channel and right channel are mixed after ITDPanner, the all-pass filter artifact arises.
