AUTOCOMP is an intelligent compressor plug-in that provides professional leveling and dynamic control without the need for manipulating complex parameters. This tool is specifically optimized for all sources that require consistent presence and stable level maintenance on the track. Instead of the complex threshold, ratio, attack, and release settings required by traditional compressors, users can create the sound around only two key knobs, Input and Output. Adjusting the Input knob determines the signal level entering the compression circuit, which automatically allows the intelligent algorithm to apply the optimal compression characteristics. This means that the user intuitively adjusts only the 'depth' and 'yang' of the compression, while the rest is handled by AUTOCOMP in a musical and transparent manner. The amount of compression applied can be clearly identified in real time through the Gain Reduction (GR), a large VU style meter. The Output knob sets the final level of the processed signal to compensate for the lost volume and ensure the correct gain stage on the mix bus. The bypass switch and the 'Analog' mode maximize the usefulness of the plug-in. Bypass allowing for instant A/B comparisons, and the 'Analog' switch adding a warm and rich analog texture while still subtle background to sound, making it simple to add musical depth that is otherwise missed in a digital environment.
