Karacter Rack

The elysia karacter is a 19-inch rackmount "coloring box" that provides a universe of saturation and distortion effects with mastering-grade quality. This discrete Class-A stereo unit is designed to be the ultimate tool for adding harmonic richness, warmth, grit, and personality to your audio. It can be used subtly to enhance stems or an entire mix with tube-like saturation, or pushed hard to create dense, aggressive distortion on guitars, synths, and drums. The karacter is a celebration of analog color, offering an unprecedented level of control over tonal character.

Its power comes from its flexible architecture. Each of the two channels can be operated independently or stereo-linked. You have three distinct modes to choose from: a clean but edgy FET shred, a 'Turbo' mode that drives the signal harder for more intense distortion, and a 'Color' mode that engages a unique filter to create complex, asymmetrical harmonics. The karacter can also operate in M/S (Mid/Side) mode, allowing you to saturate the mid and side signals of a stereo source independently for incredible stereo widening and shaping effects. A dry/wet mix control on each channel makes parallel processing simple, ensuring the karacter is as versatile as it is powerful.
