Mimer-verb

Mimerverb is a free reverb plugin built from impulse responses recorded inside Mimerlaven, the old mining headframe in Norberg, Sweden.

It is not designed to be a clean studio reverb. It is a reverb with a real location built into it, with the texture and character of the space left intact.

The impulse responses themselves are kept unprocessed. The tone and width controls work by shaping the signal before it reaches the reverb, so you can adjust the brightness and stereo width without turning the captured space into something else.

Mimerverb was made in connection with the Norbergfestival Remix Competition 2026, where the same location plays an important role.
