mp3tomid_chung

mp3tomid_chung is a realtime free MP3 to MIDI converter written in freebasic with fbsound (which uses MAD free mp3 decoder).

It converts MP3 files to polyphonic piano MIDI data sent to the chosen MIDI out port, connected for example to a MIDI recorder to produce MIDIfiles, or to the onboard PC MIDI mapper for direct listening or to midipiano_chung piano expander/recorder.

Works with Bill Evans's piano songs and Pat Metheny or piano solos (others: to try).

Can run on a small Netbook. Can export to midifiles.

Listen to your mp3 files with playlist in realtime as if they were midifiles.

Used mainly as output to midipiano_chung.
