Orb Composer Pro S

A agree that the product is somewhat unfinished, but I had no problems with scanning for plugins (which can be problematic in any tool because they can trip over faulty plugins) and you don't need the Orb ports in the Pro S (ignore them). You just need to understand the product.

This is a deep product which demands a lot of time to get going and I haven't really used it seriously yet. It has some ways to go before being considered a complete product. For that reason, I wouldn't buy it unless you get it half price. It has a lot of potential.

I would also caution that if you have designs on making orchestral music, make sure you have a good library of individual orchestral instruments already that can do articulations. I think making the articulations work between orb and a wide array of random plugins is always going to be a challenge. But if you are willing to enter the struggle, there will be rewards - especially if you are open to unconventional sounds but still with orchestral compositional elements.
