New Orb Composer S Series
The first Artificial Intelligence for composers
Orb is the name of the most accomplished music composition Artificial Intelligence in the world. It is designed for composers, bands, orchestrators or simply everyone fond of music.
What is ORB Composer?
Orb is the name of the first Artificial Intelligence designed for music composers. More than 5 years of research and development were necessary to create this smart tool for composers, bands, orchestrators, to help them experiment new musical ideas and enhance their creativity:
Compose music at a higher level
Orb Composer features help you get from musical ideas a complete composition. You can modify this as much as you want, to have the most perfect music composition you were thinking of.
It is always positive to focus on the music structure at a high level before diving straight into the notes.
Before writing a single note, think of music in terms of ideas, intentions and emotions. Orb Composer will turn it into a composition and provide a basis upon which you could then use your creativity and knowledge.

Just don't buy this thing, it's old, buggy, takes 12 hrs scanning your VSTs, adds a TON of virtual BoneMIDI virtual ports to your system, and the support is terrible and mean and it's done by Benjamin who is very nice to sell you but a complete **** when you need help (he is the only one supporting this) I guess this was outsourced somewhere to be coded (That would explain the bugs and the timespan between releases).
Scaler 2.5 will make more and Captain Chords (it also has a decent drums generator).

Nice interface and good generator, but very unstable. Do not connect to my DAW, crash after 5 minutes. I wish the developer would have better support and focus on getting stable versions instead of multiplying products and paid upgrades.

I wouldn't waste my money on this until all the bugs have been fixed. I purchased this when it was just released and have used it about 2 times.
I don't know what they've done but scanning for plugins doesn't work nor can you make plugin templates that open as a default because not everything saves.
Opening this still asks for the connection to Orb ports which was supposed to be done away with in the Pro S version.
Updates are slow and feedback is pointless. It's basically as if they've given up on this product.
Disappointed with this product which has the potential of becoming a great tool when all the bugs are fixed.
I would wait for more reviews and check youtube to see what updates have been made before taking the plunge.
Current version: 1.4.5.
Read ReviewA agree that the product is somewhat unfinished, but I had no problems with scanning for plugins (which can be problematic in any tool because they can trip over faulty plugins) and you don't need the Orb ports in the Pro S (ignore them). You just need to understand the product.
This is a deep product which demands a lot of time to get going and I haven't really used it seriously yet. It has some ways to go before being considered a complete product. For that reason, I wouldn't buy it unless you get it half price. It has a lot of potential.
I would also caution that if you have designs on making orchestral music, make sure you have a good library of individual orchestral instruments already that can do articulations. I think making the articulations work between orb and a wide array of random plugins is always going to be a challenge. But if you are willing to enter the struggle, there will be rewards - especially if you are open to unconventional sounds but still with orchestral compositional elements.
