Oxidex

Oxidex is an analog tape saturation plugin for macOS. It models the behavior of real magnetic tape — hysteresis, head-bump resonance, wow and flutter, and spectral aging — so tracks take on genuine tape character rather than a static EQ curve. A single Wear knob ages the tape from a pristine studio reel to a crinkled cassette.

Saturation engine:

• Magnetic hysteresis model with frequency-dependent behavior.
• Oversampled S-curve saturation (2×, 4×, 8×), anti-aliased.
• Three tape speeds — 7.5, 15 and 30 IPS.
• Asymmetric clipping for natural even-harmonic content.
