Player VST is two decades of West Coast / Bay Area / mob production distilled into a single plugin. From Sound Selection Kits, the Sunnyvale, CA sound design and software studio behind placements with Tee Grizzley, Kamaiyah, Larry June, Cardo Got Wings, Payroll Giovanni, P-Lo, and Mistah FAB. Every preset is sourced from the same library that's been used on real major-label records.

Version 2.0 is a complete ground-up rebuild. 1,555 fully named, hand-curated presets across 18 instrument categories: 808s, Bass, Bells, Brass, Chords, Drum Kits, E Piano, FX, Guitar, Lead, Organ, Pad, Piano, Plucked, Strings, Synth, Vox, Woodwind. No "Preset 001" filler. Every sound has a name, a place, and a purpose.

Workflow built for speed

18 one-click category tabs for instant instrument swaps. Arrow-key browsing: left/right cycles presets, up/down jumps categories, "?" randomizes, "" favorites. The plugin is designed around the speed-to-inspiration philosophy of hardware workstations like the Korg Triton and Yamaha EX5. Load it and go.

Two signature controls you won't find on a stock ROMpler

• Sub Knob: adds a tuned sub-bass layer underneath any preset. Locked to root, immediately mix-ready.
• Sauce Knob: analog tape saturation, drive, and grit. MIDI-automatable for real-time modulation.

Built-in FX

Lexicon-style reverb and space-echo ping-pong delay per preset, plus a full ADSR envelope. Mix-ready out of the box, with no auxiliary plugins required.

Runs natively on M1/M2/M3/M4 (no Rosetta), Intel Macs, and Windows 10/11 (AMD64 + AVX2). Tested in Ableton 10/11/12, FL Studio 20/21, Logic Pro, Studio One 5/6, Reaper, Cubase 12/13, Bitwig, GarageBand, and Maschine. Confirmed running 12+ instances on an M2 Air with no CPU strain. Preset loading is 60% faster than v1.
