"I have mixed opinions here with SampleTank 4, and especially with the Syntronik 2 instrument. The quality of the sounds and the beauty of each synthesizer panel are immense. The tonality of the analog presets is truly masterful. I have all the best VST synthesizers on the market, and the only one that comes close is Spectrasonics' Omnisphere. The analog leads of Syntronik, along with the layering capability of SampleTank, make these tools a pure diamond for the modern musician.
Regarding the installation process, organization, and intuitiveness with such a large amount of GB to install, SampleTank 2 is a real disaster, literally garbage. I have ultra-fast internet speed, but I've been installing from the Manager for hours, synthesizer by synthesizer, one by one, and the speed from IK's servers is truly awful and a lack of respect for the user who purchased their products. That said, if I were responsible for the website and sound download area, I would fire everyone tomorrow. Seriously, IK? A disaster; but the product and its quality are impressive, which compensates for the hours of waiting (?) Definitely not, if only Dev. would update what I just explained as a user, they would sell thousands more copies of this fantastic collection of vintage synthesizers. 5 stars for Syntronik's quality! 5 for the design of SampleTank 4, and 0 stars for the incapable and ineffective developers who worked on the data and sound downloading process. Perhaps a stupid question but if one already owns a copy of the full SampleTank 4, is there any point in downloading this free CS version. Are there additional patches that aren't already included with the full version of SampleTank 4?

You wouldn't need SampleTank 4 CS itself (the program and plugin) but the 4GB+ sounds are available to you as a SampleTank 4 user and they are new (and quite good!). You can download those in your Sound Downloads in your IK User Area.
Edit - also meant to say you might also be interested in the SampleTank 4 Editor that you get free since you have SampleTank 4. That will appear in your IK User Area as well.

I have Sampletank 2 and Sampletank 3 (full versions). Can my sounds from these instruments be imported into Sampletank 4 CS? Is there any advantage in doing so?
Yes, any SampleTank 3 or earlier sounds can be used in SampleTank 4. Any earlier sounds must be imported into SampleTank 3, and once imported, they can be loaded directly into SampleTank 4 and used with all of the FX and features of SampleTank 4.
Do note, SampleTank 3 sounds will use the SampleTank 3 engine in SampleTank 4, so sounds will not have all of the functions of the SampleTank 4 engine, but you will still have the benefit of being on a later software which will be updated moving forward.
