SampleTank 4 CS

"I have mixed opinions here with SampleTank 4, and especially with the Syntronik 2 instrument. The quality of the sounds and the beauty of each synthesizer panel are immense. The tonality of the analog presets is truly masterful. I have all the best VST synthesizers on the market, and the only one that comes close is Spectrasonics' Omnisphere. The analog leads of Syntronik, along with the layering capability of SampleTank, make these tools a pure diamond for the modern musician.

Regarding the installation process, organization, and intuitiveness with such a large amount of GB to install, SampleTank 2 is a real disaster, literally garbage. I have ultra-fast internet speed, but I've been installing from the Manager for hours, synthesizer by synthesizer, one by one, and the speed from IK's servers is truly awful and a lack of respect for the user who purchased their products. That said, if I were responsible for the website and sound download area, I would fire everyone tomorrow. Seriously, IK? A disaster; but the product and its quality are impressive, which compensates for the hours of waiting (?) Definitely not, if only Dev. would update what I just explained as a user, they would sell thousands more copies of this fantastic collection of vintage synthesizers. 5 stars for Syntronik's quality! 5 for the design of SampleTank 4, and 0 stars for the incapable and ineffective developers who worked on the data and sound downloading process. 5 GB harddisk space gone for what? A bunch of not too bad effects, and many boring instrument presets.
I've would have been impressed by this if we had 1998, but in 2021 it is just a waste of space and time.
Sorry IK, I love your Modo Bass but Sampletank is an inflated dinosaur and, in my opinion, the same applies to NI's Komplete Start.
Big but boring.

Does't impress. Library sounds utterly unconvincing, especially by today's standards. The best parts of ST are still the best parts of version 2.5, namely the Mellotron library and the Stretch algorithm. IK should have invested effort in converting a sampler with potential into a stellar user-based sampling juggernaut rather than adding filler and minimal improvements over version 3, resulting in this disappointing ROMpler. The only plugin I still use from IK is Stealth (which is ironically AMAZING, and I promote it heavily).

Takes up a lot of resources making it barely useable. Very nice looking gui, and i would love to play more around with it, but it is way too slow for me.
