Flexible general-purpose audio compressor with a touch of citrus

Squeezer is different from most compressor plug-ins: its knobs
are stepped to fine-tuned preset values, but can be changed to
continuous values by clicking a small orange light located next to
them. This allows you to find nice settings fast while not preventing
optimisation of settings.

Squeezer adapts easily to many tastes and use cases:

  • feed-forward & feed-back design.
  • linear, logarithmic & smooth release stage.
  • optical & FET detectors.
  • peak & RMS sensing.
  • hard, medium & soft knee.
  • flexible side-chain & parallel compression.

Such a hidden gem. It's has Auto-MU (auto makeup gain), external sidechain, sidechain LPF & HPF, we can choose to stereo link or independent compress, choose between logarithmic, smooth, or linear release type, choose opto or FET compressor. choose between peak or RMS detect type.

When I test it with sinewave with a strong compression setting it has a strong harmonic generation when using opto + RMS option, but it aliases because no oversampling option, a less harmonics generation with opto + peak, very slight amount of harmonics generation with FET + peak, and no harmonic generation with FET + RMS.
