Strega, meaning "witch" in Italian, is designed to conjure sonic spirits, encouraging exploration of the spaces between sounds. At its heart, Strega is an analog oscillator and a delay-based filter section that are intrinsically linked. The sound source is capable of generating raw, gritty tones that can be warped and manipulated by the "Time/Filter" experiment, which can act as a delay, a crude reverb, a filter, or a chaotic feedback generator. An "Activation" circuit, similar to a VCA and envelope, can be brought to life by external CV or by the two built-in touch plates, allowing you to "play" the instrument with gestural nuance. Strega is also a powerful external audio processor, capable of mangling and transforming any sound you feed into it. It is an instrument that rewards patience and curiosity, a tool for sonic alchemy that is as much about listening as it is about playing.
