SubtleSonic Super6 Detune

Super6 is a detune/chorus Max for Live device based on the Roland JP-8000 SuperSaw oscillator. Use it to produce subtle chorusing or nasty detunes. It works great on synths, vocals, and pads.

The original SuperSaw oscillator used 7 stacked detuned sawtooth oscillators to produce a fat wave and has become a staple of several genres of electronic music. Super6 takes stereo input and uses pitch-shifters to achieve similar effects for any signal, using tunings that were reverse-engineered from the original SuperSaw.

Features:

• Twin Mode: In "twin" mode, Super6 uses 6 pitchshifters per channel. If you want to save processing power, you can turn off "twin" mode and Super6 will use three pitchshifters per channel with different settings for left and right.
• Shelf Filter: add "air" to the high end, or darken up the sound with a switchable low/high shelf filter.
• Delays: Super6 also includes a delay with each pitchshifter so you can stagger the appearance of the detuned voices.
• Stereo Width: in normal mode this determines how much the detuned voices will be panned; in twin mode, a mid-side adjustment is performed on the detune voices.

The plugin is open-source, but not free, and code has not been obfuscated, so users could modify it if they desired.
