Summer Channel System (SCS) is an emulated console summing solution designed to offer the unique baseline sound of a brand new virtual recording console, the Cotorro CT-1. While completely original, this design takes cues from the large-format desks of the 1970s.

SCS comes in a single plugin that can be used on both individual channels and the master bus. The channel mode is optimized for punch and character. The master bus mode prioritizes headroom with a wider crosstalk spread and a gentler saturation curve; it also adds a touch of high frequency presence.

Boost-mode for extra fiery saturation.
Settings for drive, mix (wet to dry ratio), crosstalk, and output gain.
Group-switch to adjust drive and mix across all instances of the plugin.
A toggle switch for channel/master bus operation.
Analog-calibrated VU-meter.
Global Bypass-button for toggling all instances of the plugin on/off.

Instructions for optimal operation:

Assign the plugin as the first/topmost effect for all of your song's channels. Keep all of these instances on the "channel" setting.
Assign the plugin as the first/topmost effect on your stereo master bus and switch it to "master bus".
For the purest intended Cotorro CT-1 tone, keep the mix at 100%, disable the Boost-mode, and keep the drive and crosstalk at 10% and 50% respectively across all instances of the plugin.
Crosstalk in SCS becomes more noticeable as the track-count increases; the effect is very subtle on projects with less than four tracks.

This plugin has been verified by Pluginval at strictness level 10.

Installation:

Unzip and copy ChannelSummer.vst3 into your audio plugin folder.

This is usually c:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3.

Note: the free demo version cuts out the output for 1.5 seconds every 30 seconds.
